~ Committee Meeting? ~
Parkville Nature Sanctuary Committee meeting Friday night, but not that one above.. That was a meeting and cook out at the Director's place... Last night the meeting was at another committee member's house, Pat Harris... A lovely old house that looks like a small Southern Mansion, columns and all... And yes, she has a horse out in the barn...

So, it is only a couple blocks away, but I drove to the top of our hill and walked another half block as I didn't know how much parking space would be available on a snow packed night... And as I walked in another member drove in and promptly got stuck in the drive-way.. had to back out after the meeting...

So, on to the meeting which was mainly to sort out old newspaper clippings and early pictures of the Sanctuary for an archiving project... Veggies and dips, cheese and crackers to start... Bruce brought a bottle of nice red wine, I brought a nice bakery loaf of Italian bread...

First the Director, Jim Reed, went through some papers and pics of the proposed suspension bridge I had done some research on...

Then some sorting of clips and papers The Director brought out... Then a pause for dinner of what Ithought they said was gumbo, maybe, but didn't look like the gumbo I once tried to make ... I ate earlier and just sipped a glass of vino tinto...

Next a couple hours of sorting through hundreds of old pictures, I couldn't help much there... So just watched and chatted... I already have a couple hundred later pictures I posted on the web pages I made for them the past year...

Then an announcement that the work party for Sunday was cancelled, but that the Director was leading a very small hike in the Sanctuary today in this frigid weather... And I shall NOT attend that for sure...
