Starting out the rescue with Lewis Jonas and Pat Harris...
We can see them in there... Let's go get them...
Joined by Jim Reed, Sanctuary Director... First catch already...
Hold him Lewis, let's get the seine under him..
Now to the tank in the truck without losing him on the way...
Lewis has a live one, and he doesn't want to go anywhere...
Careful, let's get this one in the tank...
And another one... Lewis has the formula now...
Gently now... into the tank... Bruce Duffin helping Pat get him out of the net..
Another wild one, get him guys...
Bruce trying a solo catch out of the pipe... oops, missed this one...
Lewis trying to lure one into the seine, this method didn't work too well...
Ganging up on another... got this one...
Jim said he had seen seven in here earlier, and they took out six, or was it seven, that evening?
And hard to see, but it looks like six or seven in there...
Hang on, here comes Bruce with another one...
And that might have been the last... Now on upstream to check some more pools...
Another deep hole at another location, Lewis coaxing another one into the net...
Can't see here who caught this one but we had a real fisherwoman (Dorie) pulling them out here...
Another big one goes into the tamk...
Another big one headed to the tank while the 'seine man' Scott, prepares to try that approach...
This one somewhat beat up, coming down the waterfall...
Pat heading in to help the fisherwoman looking lost in the jungle there...
And AHA! We got that sneaky one...
Dorie, The expert fisherwoman emerges from the jungle... She pulled four or five from this hole...
Now they try Scott's 'made to order' seine but it was a bit hard to handle in close quarters... They took four or five fish from this small area...
Getting late and the search was suspended to take the fish to the Missouri River...
The park was still closed but Bruce and Jim moved the barricade and we headed to the boat ramp...
And now Jim says... How do we do this, a chore never faced by the Commitee before... But Pat had the right idea, handed out the fish one at a time...
While the official fish launcher, Bruce, released them into the Wide Missouri...
Counting as they went, Jim says I bet we have 100 pounds of fish in there... And they delivered eleven large carp to the river...
Heavy slippery work, those fish weighed from 10 to 20 pounds each...
One more, will we ever get this tank empty?
And another smaller one on the way...
Now this is a heavy one...
And one more for the road... or, the river that is...
Bruce says... Here, get a shot of this one...
And another heavy one on the way...
And this one also a bit beat up from the waterfalls...
Kersplash! How many more in there?
Well, this is the last one...
And.. Mission accomplished, done for the day...
